Hot Wasabi Horseradish Aged Cheddar Cheese (7.6 oz.)
NEW YORK STATE. An aged New York cheddar cheese with the heat of Western wasabi horseradish!
Wasabi is a Japanese plant that is part of the horseradish and mustard family. A paste made from it is used as a pungent condiment for sushi and other foods. It is similar in taste to hot mustard or horseradish rather than chili peppers in that it stimulates the nose more than the tongue.
Though Wasabi is traditionally a very strong flavor, it still lets the flavor of the creamy, aged New York Cheddar cheese through, complementing it rather than overpowering it.
Each wedge of Yancey's Fancy Hot Wasabi Horseradish Aged Cheddar Cheese weighs 7.6 ounces.
Yancey's Fancy has been producing artisan cheese in Western New York for over sixty years. Based out of Corfu, N.Y., it was founded by Bavarian immigrant Leo Kutter in 1926 in nearby Cowlesville.
