Beautiful, rustic, wooden cutting board/serving tray made by local artist Martha Aschmann from ash, cherry, yellow birch, elm, or beech wood, depending upon availability. The artist’s signature stamp is burned into the underside.
Each board is dried and sanded down to a 220 grade then finished with several coats of a food safe mineral oil/beeswax mix. Sandpaper and any plant based oil or mineral oil can maintain the board’s beauty. All timber is carefully selected from mature, dying trees in woodlots surrounding the artist’s Northern New York property.
