The natural smoky flavor is very mild, and really lets the flavor of the Bourbon be the star of the show. The cream-colored round of Gouda has an edible rind of dark brown color that looks beautiful on a cheese plate, cut into wedges or cubes.
For beer pairing, the incredible combination of flavors in this cheese make it a perfect pairing with something like a Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro.

Guests love this when I bring it to parties. Just the name alone immediately puts a picture in their heads of how it’s going to taste, and it doesn’t disappoint! I’ve tried some other cheeses by Red Apple Cheese, and this one is definitely my favorite.
